XI'AN, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- A cargo train with 45 compartments of anti-epidemic supplies left Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi province, and headed for Italy's Milan Wednesday.
Zhao said China has a huge market of 1.4 billion people and a complete industrial support system, and many authoritative international organizations believe that China injects confidence and momentum into the world economic recovery.
The supplies, including two monitoring ambulances, four ventilators and 200 infrared frontal thermometers, were donated by Kunming to the Laotian capital Vientiane and the province of Luang Prabang, with a view to assisting in the battle against COVID-19.
"China is consistently and firmly opposed to the official interactions between the United States and Taiwan, and we have lodged stern representations with the U.S. side," Zhao said.
BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- China has noted that Australia welcomes China's development and hopes that Australia can turn its words into concrete actions, a foreign ministry spokesperson said on Thursday.
"Resolving issues of common concern through dialogue is the only way to achieve win-win results," said the CSRC. "Only by doing so can a sound environment for the healthy and orderly operation of the global capital market be created."
China is committed to the policy of "one country, two systems," Wang reiterated, saying that with the strong support from the mainland, an improved legal environment, and the united efforts of the Hong Kong compatriots, China can surely uphold and better implement the policy of "one country, two systems."
Wang added that as a result, bilateral ties have become one of the most deeply interwoven relationships in the world with broadest cooperation areas and most extensive common interests. "No one can deny these facts."
It is neither necessary nor possible for the two sides to change each other, Wang stressed. "Instead, we should respect the choice independently made by the people of the other side."
The United States should recalibrate the policy of rule of law, said Chris Marlin, president of Lennar International, adding that U.S. laws target certain kinds of countries and actors in a way that may appear to others as discriminatory.
